The type of visa you will require will depend largely on where you are going and how long you intend to stay.

Common visas
Australia
With an Australian working holiday visa you can live, travel and work in Australia for 12 months. This visa is ideal if you are aged 18-30 (or 35 for Irish, French and Canadian Passport holders) and want to play rugby in Australia.
You can also extend your time in Australia for an additional 12 months by completing three months specified work in regional Australia.

New Zealand
Dreaming of playing rugby in the land of the All Blacks?
You can apply for a New Zealand working Holiday visa if you are aged 18-30 (or 35 for certain nationalities).
Visa holders are entitled to travel and work in New Zealand for up to 12 months (or 23 months if you’re from the UK or Canada).

Canada
Rugby is on the rise in Canada. If you would like to play here you should consider applying for the Canadian Working Holiday (IEC) Visa. You can apply if you are aged 18 – 30 (or 35 for some nationalities) and if your application is successful you will be entitled to stay in Canada for up to 24 months.

UK
The UK is another popular destination for rugby travellers.
If you would like to play here you should consider applying for a Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa.
This visa is available for young people who would like to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years. Once your visa is approved, you can enter and leave the UK at any time while the visa is valid.
