Personal Overview

I have always played sports and was introduced to rugby while in high school. I am able to cope with high-stress situations and easily adapt to different environments. Whether it's on or off the pitch I always lead my team and keep them positive before and after a game no matter the outcome. My ability to lead my team lends itself to being captain at both U15 and U18 level. My motivation and drive were recognized by the head coach of the Scottish Futures U18s while I was the only girl amongst 50 boys at a coaches session. I went down to trial for the team and was lucky enough to be selected for the U18s squad. Being on the squad taught me to be self-reliant and have good time management skills as I had to fit school and work around my training and traveling. My training consists of strength and conditioning three times a week while also having pitch work and club training once a week.

My passion for rugby extends to coaching the Minis and Micros at Highland Rugby Club and being the Youth Representative in the SRU Development Group for girls and women’s rugby across the North of Scotland. I attended four meetings per season to create a framework for women and girls to develop their knowledge and skills and introduce more women to rugby. Being involved in these was a source of pride for me.
