Experienced Coach with a demonstrated history of working in the sports industry currently looking for a rugby Player/ Coaching role to challenge myself and further develop my skills. Skilled in Management, Customer Service, Coaching, Time Management, and Teaching. Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching from Leeds Beckett University.
In my role as Head of ACE Boys Rugby i am in charge of designing, implementing and delivering a performance rugby player to 70+ players with the help of support staff and other coaches. Our Gold team currently play in the RFU ACE league, the highest recognised RFU league for academic institutions. Each of these instituitions are linked with a premiership academy.
I have ensured my continued personal development by attending training courses and rugby workshops including England Rugby CPD and opportunities to understand the Player Pathway hosted by Yorkshire Rugby Academy. During the time of covid i was able to complete an MSc in Sports Coaching from Leeds Beckett University and my England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award (previously UKCC Level 3). As front row player, I have a natural interest in how to coach scrum and lineout and in looking; to further my knowledge I have been shadowing coaches from different environments. I most recently attended a course to advance the lineout and lineout training with Phil Dowson from Northampton Saints.
My experience as a child player and colt, with supportive coaches and encouragement at club level, and subsequently as a county player, fuelled a passion to support children and young people of all abilities in the intricacies of the game. I am now seeking a role in which I can continue my coaching skills and further implement my rugby knowledge with elite and aspiring elite players, particularly with the area of women’s rugby, to deliver and support coaching excellence in a new environment.
I am a highly motivated and hard working person looking for a change in the player/ coaching direction within a role that allows me to take on further responsibilities and challenges.
