Personal Overview

I started playing rugby at the age of 15 for my local team, Carlisle RFC. In my first season I was playing for the colts (u18) side, before being asked to play for the seconds xv in my second season aged 16. I played two games for the seconds, and then was asked up to the firsts xv to which I played the rest of the season for. I went on to play another season at first team level for Carlisle, and then I was asked to play for Galashiels RFC. During my first year at Galashiels I was called up for the Scotland U20 squad and played against Japan and Scottish Universities. During my second year I was called up again for the Scotland U20 squad, this time I played and captained the victories against Scottish Universities and English Counties; and I also went on tour to South Africa for the Junior World Cup and received 5 caps, the first game I started on the bench and played the last 30 minutes, then started all 4 games after that. My biggest achievement of my rugby career to date is being selected for the Scotland Club International team in 2013. I am also a fully qualified electrician having completed a four year apprenticeship a year ago, and I am a full time employee at PK Electrical in Carlisle.
