Personal Overview

this is my reference letter from my former coach hopefully this will sum things up.

Daniel Bowcock                                                                                                             20 Sydney St Scone,                                                                                                             NSW, Australia, 2337 12th June 2014                                                                                    M: 0428437121     To whom it may concern, I am writing on behalf of Zac McGuiness as his coach for Club rugby over the last few years and his coach for the U18s Central North rep team in 2014. I have found Zac to be a fantastic young man and a pleasure to coach over the years. He has always applied himself at training, extra training instigated by himself and on the rugby field. Zac is a hard worker that always gives you a hundred percent and his work rate on the field is excellent. Zac has had to convert to Rugby from league which a lot of people think is not a hard thing to do, but I believe it poses a lot of challenges particularly for forwards when they first come across from league. Zac was well aware of this when he started but listened and learned at any time he had the chance and he has played rep Rugby from the first time he played. Zac has played at most positions in the scrum and has been developing his skills in the front row which he is picking up very quickly. At this stage he is not the most technical scrummager but he certainly is hard up front and with a little assistance on the technique he will be a very good front rower. In loose play Zac comes into his own with hard running on the ball and uncompromising tackling. For a big forward he is very mobile with good hands and has started to tackle and get to his feet to pilfer the ball. He has got a good grasp of the techniques in the contact area, taking the space, making the right decisions at the breakdown and supporting the ball runner into the next contact. Overall I would be very happy to recommend Zac as a Rugby player and as a young man for any club to take him on. He gets on well with his peers and is a pleasure to take away on Rugby days as I have done on numerous occasions. If given the chance he will certainly pay you back in hard work and one hundred percent effort on and off the Rugby field.   Yours faithfully, Daniel Bowcock Level 2 Coach, U18s Central North Coach, Satellite Coach for ARU Northern Inland Gold Squad Scone Rugby Club Coach
