I was raised in a home where sport was always
first, especially rugby!
I was raised to be a hard worker on and off the
Fitness was never negotiable, so I enjoy living a
fit, healthy life.
I went to high school at Dr. EG Jansen.
In my matric year we were ranked 2nd in South
Africa, with only Paarl Gimnasium beating us on the log.
We won our league every year and outplayed the
top rugby schools in South Africa.
I tried to make a career out of rugby, but my
injuries always had bad timing. I tore my shoulder ligaments in 2007, the year
before matric, where all schoolboys were scouted at Cravenweek.
I still made the Cravenweek team, but couldn't
play to my full potential.
I believe from the bottom of my heart I have what
it takes to play at a higher level. I just need a chance to prove myself
against those players and have the opportunity to train with them.
I play 7's at provincial level and had the opportunity to play against the Springboks (or Blitzboks as they
are known), Wales, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
I enjoy measuring myself against the best of the
best, never letting myself get intimidated or bullied.
