Personal Overview

I am Francois Odendaal, a dedicated rugby player from South Africa with a strong passion for the game and a serious desire to pursue my rugby career at a higher level. I am a hardworking, coachable and committed player who always strives to improve both on and off the field.

My main positions are flank, number 8 and inside centre. I pride myself on my physicality, work rate, defence, ball-carrying ability and willingness to put the team first. I have represented the Pumas U/18 Craven Week side in 2022, where I started all matches at flank. That experience helped me develop my confidence, discipline and understanding of high-level rugby.

I am currently playing rugby in South Africa and I am available to join as soon as required. I also have coaching experience, which has helped me understand the game from both a player and coach’s perspective. Rugby means a great deal to me, and I am fully committed to working hard, learning quickly and making the most of every opportunity given to me.
