Personal Overview

I have been playing rugby since I was 7 years old. My career started with Stirling County RFC mini's and progressed through Hillfoots RFC, Currie RFC and Dollar Academy prior to being approached and awarded a Rugby Scholarship at Merchiston Castle School in August 2024. 

The team has been phenomenally successful coming runners-up in the Scottish U18 Boys Final at Murrayfield in December 2024 and winning the Inspiresport Boy's U18 (1st XV) National Schools Conference for the 2024/25 season. We also won our own invitational tournament in October 2024 beating teams from across Scotland and England to progress to the final where we beat the Glasgow Caledonian Reds regional team. 

The 2025/6 season has been exciting as the SRU has created a new U18 Open Competition consisting of the top schools and rugby clubs across Scotland and we came runners up losing by try bonus points! 

Whilst I currently play left wing for Merchiston for which I am first choice in the U18 First XV and 7’s teams, I have played full-back whilst at Dollar Academy particularly to provide defensive cover using my speed and love of tackling. 

Merchiston Castle School First XV Since 09/2024

• Awarded a Rugby Scholarship in August 2024 by Nick De Luca Director of Sports. 

• Coached by Roddy Deans First XV coach and Iain Noble First XV assistant coach. 

• Merchiston play a fast expansive game, and I am fortunate to score regular tries - my largest haul was five tries against Ayr RFC in Feb 2025.

• My current position is left wing number 11. 

• As well as scoring tries, I am known for my tackling and defence with few oppositions tries scored down my wing and for gaining territory with impactful runs.

• I am adept at goal kicking and from hand. 

• I am tutored in strategy and tactics and receive additional training programmes as part of my Rugby Scholarship. 

• Additional gym and training have increased my overall muscle mass, strength, weight, and speed. 

• I currently hold the school ‘Back 3’ all-time sprint record for the fastest 10m at 1.637 seconds

Now that the 2025/26 season is finished and I'm studying for my exams I have started training with the Scotland U18 rugby league team and will be joining Edinburgh Eagles to train and play. I have also been re-introduced to Currie Chieftains and intend to join the club at the start of the 2026/7 season.

I will leave school in the Summer of 2026, and I am seeking an opportunity for a Rugby Apprenticeship or Placement.

I am willing to travel for a trial and subsequent career.
