Personal Overview

Focused, disciplined, and committed to growth, I am Moses Mununuzi, Hooker (No. 2) for Jinja Hippos Rugby Club in Uganda’s Nile Special Rugby Championship. Since making my debut, I have developed into a reliable forward, recognized for my strength in set pieces, discipline in the scrum, and accuracy in lineouts.

I have represented Uganda at the U20 Barthés Trophy and am now building my senior career with ambitions to compete at the highest international level. My rugby journey has been shaped by resilience, discipline, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I carry with me the inspiration of my late father, whose memory drives me to uphold the values of hard work, respect, and excellence in everything I do.

Beyond playing, I am passionate about coaching and mentoring young athletes. I have worked extensively with school rugby programs and community initiatives, and I currently volunteer as Director of Rugby at Sports Impact International, where I help introduce rugby to schools in remote areas, ensuring that underprivileged children have the opportunity to experience and enjoy the sport.
