Personal Overview

Hello from New Zealand, 

My name is Liam Guthrie. I am 26 years old and I play in the second row but can also cover blindside. 

I have played rugby since I was five years old with some breaks in my adult life. The first, from 2016 - 2017 when I started University.

I took another break after a season of U20s while I was in the Army.

I recently rediscovered my love for the game and in 2023, I represented Wellington Police and later, New Zealand Police. 

in August 2024, I will be travelling to Germany with my fiancée, Elisa. Elisa is originally from Germany and our plan is to live and work for a year so I can learn the language and experience the culture. 

I am looking to join a club in Germany, ideally located in Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria which is close family and friends. However, I am flexible if the right opportunity came along. 

I would be an advantage to a team looking for a mobile lock, a lineout option and a strong defensive presence. 

Open to offers in other countries but Germany is ideal for me. 

Also of benefit is that my fiancée is a qualified physiotherapist and would be interested in providing services to the team.
