Personal Overview

Simon Fonua is a player who can cover centre & wing, is a quick, strong ball carrier who can break through plenty of tackles & has a strong passing & defensive game too. He is 26 and is looking for a new club. He plays both semi pro & pro rugby union. From the ages of 15 to 21 he played rugby league. In rugby league, he played for Parramatta Eeels - through his performances for them, he was selected to play for NSW Origin U16 team. He has also played for Corrimal Cougars, Cronulla Sharks,  Canterbury Bankstown/Pampamoa Bulldogs & Western Suburbs Magpies/West Tigers.

In rugby union he has played in the Romanian national league for Baia Mare, this was from October 2021-January 2023. He has played in the Shute Shield in Australia too for West Harbour Pirates from October 2020- September 2021.
