Coaching References

Furio Dawkins

I have coached Furio at Reading Abbey RFC since U12s, when he started playing club rugby. Furio is naturally gifted with speed and agility but has developed into a competent rugby player. His main position is wing but he could be developed into a full back or centre. Despite being a winger, Furio is strong and could also potentially be train to play flanker. He is strong tackling and in the ruck,

Furio is committed to his rugby and usually trains and plays for Abbey despite also having a high rugby work load on the Wasp ACE programme with Oxford college.

Since he was 17 we have been working to transition him into senior rugby; first through the second team and now with the first team, where he is a valued squad member and has performed well this season, scoring and assisting with a number of tries. Furio will continue develop with exposure to our first team and could benefit from a season at a southern hemisphere club.
