Personal Overview

Hello to all,

I am Vice Manava. I am currently seeking to play rugby abroad, and hope to some day play at a professional/semi-professional Level.

2022 was my first year lacing up the boots and hitting the field since 2014. With that being said, in 2014 I was playing rugby league in Australia. With rugby union being such a dominant sport in New Zealand, I decided to have a crack at it again for the first time since 2009. The rugby club I played for and represented last year in 2022 and this year 2023, was Tawa Rugby FC.

Whilst making my comeback to rugby union, I was awarded the coaches/players award at the end of our season in 2022. Although I didn't play for the 1st grade team,I had received a tremendous amount of feed back from supporters, players and coaches that I should have been playing at a higher level.

At the start of the season, I started off at scrum half. Throughout the season of 2022 I was moved around to blindside Flanker, second five, outside centre and fullback. In 2023 I predominantly played at scrum half and outside centre.

I am a very coachable person, who takes things onboard and can adjust quite quickly. I am a fast learner and am able to listen and do what has been asked. I also can incorporate what I've been taught, and use it to my advantage not to only benefit myself, but also my team. I'm a big believer of team work and hard work beats talent. And when you put the hard yards in, not only does it pay off, but it definitely shows the level of commitment and determination to be the best version of yourself.

I look forward to working with someone who has the time to coach and mentor me as a player. And in return, you will receive a work horse. Blood sweat and tears. A person who will go through lengths to prove himself worthy. You will get the absolute best out of me. It would truly be an honour to play abroad for you and your club.
