Personal Overview

Born and raised in New Zealand with UK and Dutch ancestry, played for Wairarapa Bush in the New Zealand Heartland Championship from 2015-2018 before moving to Scotland. I joined Melrose RFC and later Southern Knights before covid19 stopped all rugby. Decided to join RFC Haarlem in 2021 to get back playing rugby sooner and start playing for the Dutch National team.

My main position is No8 but can play anywhere in the backrow, I am a leader in both my club and international teams and like to lead by my actions, as a dynamic ball carrier I am constantly making the gainline and gaining the team momentum. While on defence I like to lead the chop tackle and disrupt breakdowns to slow the momentum of the opposition and gain a chance of getting the ball back.

In the 2023 Rugby Europe Championship. I started every game for the Netherlands at No8 and finished the competition as the second highest tackle count, most successful jackles, the forward with the most clean breaks and defenders beaten out of all the players in the competition while also scoring 3 tries and setting up a couple also.

I currently have a semi pro contract with my club which sees me training with the squad three times a week and personal gym training with our strength and conditioning coach three times a week. My ambition is to take on a more professional contract and take my game to the next level.
