Personal Overview

I am a fast centre who is powerful with ball in hand. I usually play 13, but I am also effective at 12, on the wing and at fullback. I am a good kicker of the ball and can slot penalty goals from 60 metres out.

I was selected for SA Rugby's U16 Green squad in 2016, which meant being among the top 50 U16 boys in South Africa. I missed out on the U18 Craven Week in 2017 due to injury but I did play in the U17 Sevens and was called up to the SA U18 Sevens squad. I then had the privilege to represent the Junior Blitzboks at the Capricon Group Tournament in Namibia, which we won. I unfortunately missed out on Craven Week in 2018 due to injury, as well as the Africa Games and Junior Olympics. Since 2019, I have attended Stellenbosch University (Maties) studying a BScAgric Animal Science degree. In 2021, I was part of the Maties squad for the Varsity Cup and played for Maties in the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Kings of Africa Sevens tournament in Uganda. In 2022 I represented Stellenbosch University in 7s at the USSA 7s and Varsity Sport 7s tournamnets and also the Maties 1st XV 15s during the club league. I also played for the Russian club Taganiy-Rog in the 2022 Russian Rugby Sevens Championship in Sochi.
