Coaching References

To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to provide this letter of character and rugby reference in relation to  Alex Mackenzie. I have known Alex since 2016 when I started coaching him as part  of our rugby program here at Central Washington University. Alex has been an  integral part of our team competing for a national championship so over the past 5  years I have gotten to know him very well.

Alex’s desire to learn and improve is impressive, not only as a rugby player but also as a leader and a person away from the sport. This is evident in his commitment to  developing his game and he is slowly but surely developing into a dominant  breakdown threat, strong ball carrier and also executing at set-piece time. Alex always made himself available to help others in any way he possibly could, and he is  a good team man who is liked by everyone involved in our program. Lastly, Alex has  applied himself well with his academics and performed at a high level which is  reflective of his high work ethic.

At 6ft 1 and weighing in at 235lbs whilst running a sub 5-minute bronco, Alex has  all the athletic tools to become an professional rugby player. I know being in a  professional setting is the perfect environment for Alex to continue to grow his  game while also developing personally away from the sport. Please do not hesitate to  contact myself anytime to talk further if need be.

Kind Regards,

USA U23 & CWU Head Coach
