Personal Overview

I play comfortably at number 8 or blindside flanker with tireless pace, great engine with strong destructive tackling . I have great vision, I am tenacious on the ball making meters and knowing when to pass and presenting safe ball to the number 9. Ive played rugby in Ireland for 13 years, Played first team rugby for all clubs I've played for and reached the Leinster schools final for the first time in my senior year.

Coaching References

Christopher Waters has been a consistent player, member of the leadership group, Captain and winner of the coaches award during the past two years at the Dublin Dogos. 

During this time he has great personal and rugby development. This includes but is not limited to developing his line out lifting and jumping abilities and his ability to communicate with referees. 

Christopher has personally paid for external professional players to analyse his game and tackling ability and implemented this in his game to great benefit especially before lockdown. 

Christopher is a tenacious ball runner who uses his good knowledge of the game to know when to take contact and when to pass. 

When a support runner he is extremely effective at securing the ruck and using different clean out methods in different situations to usually be effective that a 1-3-3-1 or a 2-4-2 attacking structure can be utilised by him. 

Christopher’s height means means that he is a viable line option as well has the strength for lifting. We have only started to experiment with him as a line out calling option so he is developing that aspect of his game. 

In defence Christopher’s tackling ability is his strength. With his most recent game him recording 13 solo tackles 7 joint tackles. 2 forced knock ons and 1 penalty from tackle to Jackal

He mainly defends in our 2-4 channels as he is both strong enough to tackle big ball runners and fast enough to cover outside channels effectively.
