Personal Overview

Dependable, a word when used to describe a rugby player can mean they turn up, put the shift in, do their job, nothing special. Or you can depend on that player, for the tackle, for the yards in contact, for the hard work. Alex Hales may not have the tries to his belt but racks up the carries. His tackle count and success rate are always in the top 5, every game. Bedford Tigers had their star players, the headline grabbers, tigers also had the grafters, workers, the dependable. Top of that list, was Alex Hales.
