Personal Overview

André Meyer is a 24-year-old South African rugby player, who graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2019, completing a degree in Architecture. He is a very skillful player, willing to play any position for the best of the team. He is originally a loose forward but started to double up on 4 lock since Varsity Cup 2019. He took up the role as the enforcer, he is solid on defense, likes to hit the rucks and is a strong carrier of the ball. André is a hardworking, trustworthy, reliable, and committed person. He works well under pressure and is always willing to learn more and gain experience through opportunities. His experience from rugby has taught him how to function in a team environment, seeking the best for the team and not the individual. He has captained several teams before which have contributed to his maturity on how to respond to conflict and resolve differences. This has also empowered him to face the challenges in life, whether it may be positive or negative.
