PERSONALITY

 My name is Jordan Kyle Mellett, and  I am a positive young man, who loves rugby.   In 2020 I moved from South Africa to New Zealand for personal reasons and looking to further my rugby career. I am a young man, who knows how to put in the work and get the results that are needed. 

In my spare time, I enjoy 4x4ing, fishing, touch rugby, and surfing. I love the outdoors and I am crazy about wildlife. I am a hardworking man who does a lot in my everyday life. I am also an extrovert who loves meeting new people and being a part of a team.And for year 13 I am planning and pushing to make 1st team and to make North Harbor under 18s.

Rugby Experience

I started playing rugby at a young age, just playing in the garden with my family and just enjoying the sport for what it is.  After going through primary school and playing as many sports as I can, I decided that rugby is the sport that I want to do for the rest of my life. So when it came to choosing a high school,  I decided to go to the best school that I was able to go to. Which was King Edward vii school, in Johannesburg, and because it was in Johannesburg I had to attend boarding school. After making under 14 and under 15 A teams rugby at this school, it was like rugby was meant for me because after making the squad I just kept on getting better and better Then in 2020 I moved to New Zealand where I attended Rangitoto College, and from year 11, I have been playing outside the center for the first team where I have learned and grown so much.

Rugby achievements

• Played in the Parktown rugby festival  2018

• Played in the Wynberg rugby festival 2019

• Played blindside flank for the A team 

• Our team was 6 in the country for rugby

• Made 1st team year 11 -outside center

• Made 1st team year 12-outside/inside center
