Personal Overview

In my last 2 years of schooling I played for my 1st team in high school and in my final year I received forward of the year. Straight out of high school I joined my local rugby team, which was Union Milnerton RFC in 2016. At Union Milnerton RFC I played for the U/20A team which competed in the Super B League. The following year in 2017 I got scouted from Union Milnerton RFC to go play at Hamiltons RFC in Green Point, which is the oldest club in South Africa. At Hamiltons RFC I played in the U/20A team, which competed in the Super A league. The following the year in 2018 I didnt play any rugby due to the completion of Sport Science degree which I did finish that year. In 2019 I rejoined Hamilton RFC for my first senior season. In that season I played starting line-up for the B team and benched for the 1st team on game days.

I am a very exciting, motivated and hard working individual. I did not go to a big rugby school, but I did compete against guys that came from big schools and had big rugby CVs and I always ended victorious up against them because that is just my character and I thrive on competition. All I'm asking is for a club to take a chance with and I promise I will be an asset to that team.

Re; Brandon Van Rensburg

To whom it may concern

With reference to the above mentioned individual Brandon Van Rensburg the following is noted. In selecting a player I look at a number of key factors which are above the line and below the line attributes. The above the line factors which are easily measurable include the following which Brandon has successfully contributed to.

·         Scrumming

·         Tackling

·         Lifting in lineouts & execution.

·         Understanding of attack plays systems.

·         Understanding of defense systems.

·         Positive contribution to both attack and defense systems.

·         Communication in both micro units (scrums) and macro units (team).

·         Sound execution both physically and in judgement around rucks & malls.
