Personal Overview

My name is Ridge Gaffley. I was born in Swellendam, South Africa and went to school in George for a better Rugby experience. As I grew up I knew I wanted to play Rugby as it was my favorite sport from the beginning. I was always the smallest player on the field, but that never let me down, in-fact it made me wanting to be better and prove myself.  My biggest dream is to play overseas and try to prove myself on a professional level. I had the opportunity to play sevens overseas, and I’m very honored experience such an achievement. My academics always came first, even though I wanted Rugby to be my main focus. I always try to do my best in any opportunity I get, I take any opportunity that could open doors for me. I always pick myself up when I experience a setback, I stay positive and move on to the next. I’ll never try to be better than everyone in anything, I focus on what I’m passionate about and what’s important to me. I’m very artistic, love to draw and design. I’ve played on a professional level as a junior player ( under 18 ), but I hope to take it to the next level.
