Profile Overview

After a successful playing career, I embarked upon the role of Forwards Coach at Leeds Carnegie RUFC at the start of the 2010 season, working alongside Head Coach and World Cup winner Neil Back. In a short space of time, using my ability to effectively develop players at all levels I have successfully accomplished the objective of producing a highly effective front row who are seen as a significant threat by their opposition counterparts.

I began playing rugby in my home country with Roca RC before joining San Fernando RC in 1998. From here I moved to France to play for Agen and then onto Italy where I played for Parma for two years.

My first spell in the UK was with Worcester Warriors in the 2001-02 season but returned to France in 2002 to join USAP, where the team reached the Rugby Top 14 Championship Final in 2004 against Stade Francais and the Heineken Cup final in the same year where we achieved the position of runners up to rivals Toulouse.

I returned to England to play for Leicester in 2005 and made my Tigers debut against Northampton and over my three seasons with EnglandÂ’s Premier club, we won the Guinness Premiership and Anglo Welsh Cup in 2007 and reached the Heineken Cup final twice in 2006 and 2007.

In 2008 I left Welford Road and moved back to Italy to play for Calvisano and L'Aquila, where my ability, experience and skill saw me as one of the most respected forwards in the Super 10 competition. In my role of player/consultant LÂ’Aquila reached the prestigious Super 10 Championship Final losing to Prato in a bruising game at the end of the 2009 season.

After playing in Italy, I joined Leeds Carnegie and was part of the squad that retained their Premiership status in 2010. I played my first international game for Argentina in 1998 in a 59-0 victory against Paraguay and played a further three times for my home country but in 1999 I went onto represent Italy. My first appearance for Italy was against Tonga at Welford Road and I played another four times for the Italians, featuring in their 1999 World Cup campaign and the 2002 Six Nations.
