Profile Overview

I began my coaching career whilst working as a Rugby Development Officer with the WRU though I'd done some coaching at primary secondary and tertiary level before that. 

I consider myself to have good organisational and communication skills.  These have been enhanced this season 2023-4 as a result of my (voluntary) work with the Sale Sharks Developing Player Programme. This involves a circa 250 mile round trip once a fortnight.  It is a scheme I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of and has allowed me to gain invaluable experience. It has highlighted the need for great teamwork, made much easier by the group of coaches I work alongside.

I leave for South Africa on March 19th to help a friend stage a rugby tournament in Glenwood High School. 

I enjoy travelling to spread the 'rugby word' and have visited the Green Mountain College in Vermont, USA whist with the WRU. 

Coaching Qualifications

I gained a Level 3 qualification during my time with the WRU.

I have since completed the Canterbury Crusaders Leadership Course in late 2023. This was an eye-opener particularly when we were given the opportunity of asking questions of renowned coaches Scott Robertson and Robbie Deans.
