Club Overview
Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Old Crossleyans RUFC are a traditional club first established in 1923 and have played on Broomfield Avenue, ever since.
The team currentlly play in Regional 2 North East, a very competetive and attritional league.
The clubs home at Standeven House is an old boarding house that has been developed by the club over the years and now has accomodation for 3 players on site.
The club have in recent years had several overseas players come and stay at the club, and often they have stayed for a few seasons. Some of the past players have also gone on to play higher grade rugby in the UK on the back of the support offered by the Old Crossleyans committee, coaching team and players.

Old Crossleyans RUFC is a diverse and inclusive space for players of all experience, abilities and genders to play rugby.
Our Senior Men’s 1st XV currently plays in Regional 2 North East, a competitive and attritional competition our 2nd XV currently play in the AWW Werit Table of Yorkshire League and Merit tables.
Our Senior Women’s XV play in NC2 North South Devision, with 2 Girls teams at U15s and U18s with the latter being the perfect transition route into senior open age rugby.
We currently run rugby activities and teams from Tots, U6s to U15s with a plan in place to be running a colt’s system in the next few seasons to help support and transition the juniors in to the men’s senior arena with the correct coaching and technical training required.
