Club Overview

Dating back to 1884, Wilmslow Rugby Union Football Club is a welcoming club run by committed staff and volunteeers in the heart of Cheshire.

The First XV plays its home matches at the Memorial Ground, Kings Road, Wimlslow in the Lancashire & Cheshire 1 League (level 7).

With Second XV and social senior teams, the club has a well established senior coaching and playing structure, and always welcomes new players.

The club has a thriving Mini & Junior section, offering coaching from U6 through to Colts, as well as matches throughout the season from U7 onwards

Each year, the club is proud to host one of the largest Mini Rugby Festivals in the North of England. Usually held during April, the event attracts thousands of players & family members from clubs across the North, and North Wales, as wel as touring teams from overseas.

Club Details

Wilmslow are currently looking to get promoted to Level 6 under the stewardship of head coach Rick Jones and assistant coach Burhan Torgut. The club has enjoyed a really good season with a huge rebuild on and off the pitch and finished 4th, next season we are looking to kick on by recruiting players who will enhance the squad. Currently the club is looking for backs, the club is open to discuss a suitable package for the right players, which could involve work in the area, accommodation, visa, general expenses, and coaching within younger age groups as well as other perks such as free kit, food post training and matches, physio and top quality coaching. Wilmslow want to create an environment that encourages all players to feel involved and give a sense of belonging to the club no matter their background.
