Club Overview

Established in 1962 North Walsham Rugby Club has been at the forefront of Norfolk Rugby for over thirty years.  Currently playing at Level 5, one below the national leagues. 

Family and friends are the driving force at North Walsham with a focus on having a proffessional approach with a community spirit. Well supported with some matches exceeding 1000 spectators we can truthfully say we are a big family.

North Walsham plays the highest level of rugby in Norfolk and the only club that offers RFU Level 5 and Level 7. Nestled on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, under 10 miles to sandy beaches, and a short drive to the fine city of Norwich you could not ask for a better location. 

Partnered with the University of East Anglia and Easton College  where we deliver the rugby programmes, we are able to offer support in continuing your education or coaching whilst playing rugby to a high standard.  With a strong supporter and sponsor list we are also able to assist in job placement and accommodation.

Club Details

North Walsham Rugby Club runs three teams senior men's team:

1st XV (Vikings) Regional 1 South East 2025/26  (Level 5)

2nd XV (Raiders) Counties 2 Eastern Counties (Level 7)

3rd XV (Warriors) Eastern Counties Division 2 North

The Youth and Mini section of the club are large and there is a natural progression from the Colts to Senior Rugby.  Girl's rugby and mixed touch are slightly newer additions to North Walsham, both of which are steadily growing and gaining momentum.

Coaches at North Walsham support playing rugby in local schools through our school's programme, this year they have seen over 3,000 pupils benefit from the excellent coaching available from the coaching setup.
