Club Overview

Shenzhen Pirates RFC is based in Shenzhen in the south of China (located right next to Hong Kong). We play within the All China Cup, China mainland's premier club competition, as well as competitively within the Hong Kong competition.  Our season runs from September - March with additional All China Cup playoff games and 10s tournaments played in April, May and June.  We have both social and compeitive teams and we welcome players of ALL LEVELS.

We play a fast, wide and adventurous style of rugby built on a foundation of mateship and competitive spirit.  Our club's goal is to be the first mainland China club to be promoted to Hong Kong's Premiership compeition (div 1).  We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the season and our club has a strong social scene and supportive community.

Players joining our club from abroad will be placed into well paid (£25,000+ / year) English teaching jobs and will play for our club on an amateur level.  Players are expected to sign a minimum 1 year contract with our club's partner employers.  

Eligibility Requirements:

- MUST Hold a University Bachelors Degree

- MUST Hold a Passport From One of the Following: UK, South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, USA, Canada.

- MUST Have No Criminal Record
