Club Overview

Ophir RFC is a club in North Belfast/Newtownabbey who goals to ascend within the club rankings in Ulster.  Ophir is approaching it's Centenary year in 2021/22 season and we are seeking talent to align with the centenary milestone to achieve our ambitious goals.  Most recently we have undergone major transition from playing in a substandard 'fields' to a world class sports performance institue in Newtownabbey with our partnership with Ulster University giving us a player offering unlike any other club.  With this new transition we are already reaping the benefits... 100+ new members, new womens team and optimised player offering such as S&C, great pitches and a lot more.  We are a personal and a very family orientated club with a network to support all of our players.

Club Details

Senior Mens - 1XV & 2XV

Womens side - Development (currently in first season)

Azlans - Ulster's only Inclusive Rugby team (functions as Ophir RFC development pathway for beginners, whilst fulfilling Inclusive rugby fixtures)

Youth - U18, U16, U14, U12

Mini - Primary 1 to 7 (ages 5 to 11)

Tag Rugby - we have a weekly offering of Tag Rugby played by people of all abilities... Just for the Craic!!
