Club Details

Wagga City has a strong family friendly culture and while competitive we haven’t forgotten why we play rugby, love of the game and fun.

We have 3 men’s grades and a women’s 10’s side. Come be part of a club with a long, successful on-field history and vibrant social scene.

Our 1st Grade Coach in 2019 was James Curgenven who originally came to us via The Rugby Agents and is from the UK, having had spells with bromsgrove (nat 2) and Newport salop (nat 3).

Our first grade coach for 2020 and beyond is Ben Schrieber. Ben has played international 7s and made the Australian commonwealth games 7s side.

The 2020 season was impacted by COVID 19 but Wagga City managed to defeat the reigning champions to win its first premiership in nearly 40 years. We also won the minor championship and club championship.

2021 saw City 1st grade go through undefeated and the Club secure another club championship. Unfortunately COVID ended the season short before finals could be played.

2022 was a near perfect season for City with all 3 men's grades taking the premiership.

We are offering airfares, all playing fees and insurance, subsidised accommodation, help finding/securing employment and a clear pathway to representative Rugby Union via the Brumbies representative program. The club will also help players purchase a car and provide Wagga City merchandise/kit.
